When were you a student at Simply Theatre, and which locations?

I started at the Tannay Studios in 2005 and left before they moved to Versoix, in 2012.

What did Simply Theatre mean to you?

At that time Simply Theatre meant the world to me. It was a place where I could express my feelings and be myself, and most of all have fun. I discovered new passions, that brought me where I am today and I am grateful for that.

How did you benefit from your time at Simply Theatre?

I got to encounter for the first time all the assets that are needed in order to become a performer. Thanks to the incredible and nurturing staff, I was able to grow my skills in acting, dancing and singing. Not only did my confidence rise, but I was accepting the thought of me wanting to become a Musical Theatre performer.

What is a particular moment or memory that you will never forget?

One of the many moments would be when we went to the Fringe festival to perform Return to the Forbidden Planet. What an incredible cast, creative team and experience it was! Especially when we got such positive reviews in the newspaper!

What have you been doing since you left Simply Theatre?

After finishing college, and working as a teacher assistant for mini dramas at Simply Theatre, I moved to London to do a foundation year at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I am currently finishing my 3rd year of Musical Theatre at the Institute of Arts Barcelona, and performing in Witches of Eastwick.

What are your future plans?

After finishing my year, I would like to begin my performing career in any artistic/cultural city such as London, Madrid or Paris. I am open to all opportunities and wish to have as many as I can! But most of all surround myself with the most experienced and talented group of performers in order to strengthen my tools as a versatile actress.

What is one piece of advice that you would give to students of Simply Theatre about their time here?

Never stop believing in yourself, no matter what happens. Simply Theatre will always be your safe place. So be whoever you want be and enjoy, because no one will ever judge you!
